Over the next few months Zahid Raja will be campaigning with students across the country to keep Citizenship Education part of the national curriculum.

Campaign update:
- The ‘Big Society’ and Citizenship Education: why the Conservatives should keep it – my article in the Student Journals.
- Democratic Life, an organisation founded by a coalition of organisations and individuals in the UK seeking to strengthen and extend young people’s entitlement to high-quality citizenship education in England.
- EDM 1142 – David Blunkett MP has tabled an Early Day Motion (EDM) calling on the Government ‘to affirm its commitment to citizenship education as an entitlement for all students in English secondary schools.’ More MPs must sign this EDM, please write to your MP and ask that they sign it today.
- Model Motion for Student General Meetings – Zahid Raja recently created a model motion designed for student use! Submit this in time for your next SGM and lets give the campaign to protect Citizenship some student backing!
